India will be represented by four players at the first MCB Ladies Classic Mauritius, held at the Legends Course in Port Louis. Diksha Dagar will lead the Indian contingent, accompanied by Tvesa Malik, Vani Kapoor, and Hitaashee Bakshi.
Vani Kapoor brings recent experience of the island, having participated in the IGPL Invitation at the Anahita Course. LET regulars Pranavi Urs and Avani Prashanth have chosen to skip this event to take a short break.
Diksha Dagar, who aims to win the Women’s Indian Open this season, will start her round at 7:20 am, playing alongside Alessandra Fanali and Alexandra Forsterling. Hitaashee Bakshi is paired with Lianna Bailey and Gabriella Cowley for the opening two rounds.
Tvesa Malik, seeking to reclaim her tour card, will compete with Lilly May Humphreys and Bobbi Brown. Vani Kapoor will tee off with Corrine Viden and Chloe Williams in her first round.
The tournament also highlights England’s Esme Hamilton, who recently secured her first LET victory at the Investec SA Women’s Open. Riding on strong momentum, Hamilton travelled directly to Mauritius to build on her success. She now ranks fourth in the LET Order of Merit and aims to sustain her form.
The event features a strong field of 120 players competing over 54 holes of stroke play at the Constance Belle Mare Plage Legends Course, known for its narrow fairways and demanding greens. Hamilton will begin her title defence at 7:40 am local time alongside Agathe Laisne of France and Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall.
