Power couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh extended heartfelt anniversary wishes to their 'Vahini-Dada' (Sister-in-law and Brother) - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Genelia shared a candid video from the trailer launch of ‘Raja Shivaji’ on her Instagram story, writing, “Happy anniversary to Vahini @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb and broman @bachchan – we love you immensely.”
In the video, Genelia and Riteish were seen joyfully embracing Abhishek Bachchan and conveying their wishes. Riteish reshared the post on his Instagram story, expressing his gratitude to Abhishek for attending the trailer launch on his anniversary. He wrote, “@bachchan I admire you and look up to you and I want to learn from you every single day – Yesterday was your anniversary but you still showed up for us and the most beautiful @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb let you do this, on a day that’s yours together is just something else. I will always be eternally grateful. Happy Anniversary Vahini-Dada.”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan celebrated 19 years of marriage on April 20. On the occasion, Aishwarya shared an affectionate family post on social media, featuring a series of photographs with Abhishek and their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. One picture showed the three posing alongside a large bouquet, while another captured them smiling for the camera.
Aishwarya was dressed elegantly in a white outfit with her signature red lipstick and open hair, while Abhishek wore blue ethnic attire.
The couple married in 2007 in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends. They welcomed their daughter Aaradhya on November 16, 2011. Over the years, they have appeared together in various films including ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’, ‘Dhoom 2’, ‘Guru’, ‘Umrao Jaan’, ‘Sarkar Raj’, and ‘Raavan’. Their on-screen pairing has been well-received by audiences.
On the professional front, Abhishek Bachchan is set to appear in Riteish Deshmukh’s film ‘Raja Shivaji’. Riteish will portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Abhishek will play Sambhaji Shahaji Bhosale. The cast also includes Genelia Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Bhagyashree, Mahesh Manjerakar, and Boman Irani.
‘Raja Shivaji’ is scheduled for a worldwide cinema release on May 1 in Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu languages.
