The sequel to TVF's drama series Sapne vs Everyone will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 1, continuing its exploration of ambition and revenge within Mumbai's film industry and real estate sectors.
The first season, released on YouTube in 2023, concluded with Ambrish Verma’s character outsmarting his corrupt uncle, portrayed by Vijayant Kohli, in real estate, while Paramvir’s character pursued his dream of acting. The new season follows both characters as their stories develop.
The trailer revisits key moments from the initial season before depicting escalating conflicts. Paramvir Cheema’s character, Paramvir, is seen relocating to Mumbai to chase his acting aspirations. Concurrently, Ambrish Verma’s character has established his own real estate firm, entering a competitive property market where he faces threats from Vijayant Kohli’s character, who has ventured into politics and menaces Ambrish with death.
The narrative intensifies with themes of rejection, revenge, and perilous decisions. The trailer concludes with Paramvir confronting challenges to secure a film role, while Ambrish contends with violent threats. A cameo from Naveen Kasturia is also hinted at in the trailer, which was shared by Amazon Prime Video on its Instagram account.
Written and directed by Ambrish Verma, the series stars Paramvir Cheema, Ambrish Verma, and Vijayant Kohli in leading roles. Ambrish Verma, who portrays Jimmy, commented in a press note: “Sapne vs Everyone has not been just another project for me, but a dream. The incredible love and appreciation that Season one received from audiences across the world inspired us to bring Season two to life, continuing this grounded story that reflects social realities many of us relate to. I am grateful to TVF and Prime Video for giving me the platform to share this journey with audiences in India and beyond. In the new season, you will see characters more intense and evolved, raising both the scale and the stakes. I am especially excited for viewers to see Jimmy’s journey- he’s more layered, conflicted, and driven than before.”
