Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are filming their upcoming movie 'King' in South Africa. Since the evening of April 30, several unauthorised images from the film's set have appeared online, depicting the two stars holding hands.

The leaked images suggest the crew may be recording a song sequence during the South Africa schedule. While some fans have shown excitement, others believe sharing these images undermines the promotional strategy by eliminating the element of surprise.

Siddharth Anand, the film's director, issued a request on his X account asking fans to refrain from distributing any leaked media from the 'King' sets. He wrote, "REQUEST TO ALL THE FANS. Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of KING. The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support and cooperation. 'King' is scheduled for theatrical release on December 24, 2026, positioning it as a major Christmas offering. Recent official visuals highlight Shah Rukh Khan in a bold and intense role, indicating a strong action-oriented storyline.

The film's cast also includes Abhishek Bachchan, Saurabh Shukla and Suhana Khan in significant roles.
