Captain Shubman Gill has arrived at the Gujarat Titans training camp as the team prepares for the IPL 2026 season. The Gujarat Titans will open their campaign with an away match against the Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on March 31, according to a franchise press release.
The team, led by Gill, will then host the Rajasthan Royals on April 4 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Following this, Gujarat Titans will play two further away games, facing the Delhi Capitals on April 8 and the Lucknow Super Giants on April 12.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has published the schedule for the first phase of the tournament, which will take place from March 28 to April 12, 2026. The 19th edition of the IPL will begin with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosting Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Matches will be held at ten venues: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
Since their debut, the Gujarat Titans have been one of the most consistent IPL teams, reaching the playoffs in three of their first four seasons and winning the title in their inaugural 2022 campaign. In the 2025 season, the Titans recorded nine wins, four losses and one no-result. They will aim to capture a second title in 2026 under Gill’s captaincy.
