The 30-year-old English seamer Carse has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

Madushanka, a left-arm medium pacer from Sri Lanka, has played 1 Test, 28 ODIs and 19 T20 internationals, taking 70 wickets at the international level. He will join SRH for a fee of Rs 75 Lakh. The Sri Lankan bowler was previously part of Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL.

SRH currently occupy fourth place on the points table with two wins from five matches. Their next fixture is against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at their home ground on Saturday.

The Ishan Kishan-led side will enter the match following a 57-run victory over Rajasthan Royals, boosted by impressive debuts from uncapped pacers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain. The duo combined to take eight wickets, effectively dismantling the Rajasthan Royals batting order during their chase of 217 runs.

Twenty-four-year-old Praful Hinge took four wickets in his debut IPL match and was named Player of the Match. He took the wickets of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and Lhuandré Pretorius in his first over, followed by the dismissal of RR captain Riyan Parag in his next over, finishing with bowling figures of 3-4-34-4.

Sakib Hussain opened the bowling alongside Hinge and claimed the crucial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in his first over. He went on to dismiss Donovan Ferreira, Jofra Archer, and Ravi Bishnoi, concluding with figures of 2-4-24-4.
