Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a detailed review on April 13 of the assembly constituency announcements for Didihat, Gangolihat, Kapkot, and Bageshwar at the Secretariat.

He directed that immediate action be taken on announcements for which government orders have not yet been issued, setting a 20-day timeline to formalise all pending announcements to prevent delays in scheme implementation.

The Chief Minister emphasised adherence to the state government’s guiding principles of “Simplification, Resolution, Disposal, and Satisfaction,” stressing that public welfare issues should be resolved promptly. He instructed officials to address challenges in scheme implementation in coordination with local legislators to sustain development momentum, according to an official release.

Mr Dhami also tasked District Magistrates with regularly reviewing forest land transfer issues at the district level, highlighting the need to expedite procedures and remove obstacles that hinder development work. He called for strengthened inter-departmental coordination on these matters.

The Chief Minister instructed the Chief Secretary to establish a coordination committee comprising relevant departments to monitor maintenance of roads constructed under the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The committee is expected to oversee maintenance to ensure safe and smooth rural connectivity.

In anticipation of the monsoon, he ordered that patchwork on all roads be completed before the rains commence. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of developing sports infrastructure and directed that funds be released within 15 days for locations where playground land has been secured, enabling prompt construction and improved youth facilities.

Mr Dhami also directed the expedited widening of the motor road from Kanalichhina to Pipli Bagridigaon. He instructed officials to start operation of an upper primary school adjacent to the Government Model Primary School in Kapkot and ensure that all necessary arrangements at the Bageshwar District Hospital are in place for patient convenience.

He concluded by urging all officials to prioritise public welfare projects and ensure the time-bound, effective implementation of all schemes, reiterating the state government’s commitment to overall development without tolerance for laxity.
