In PICS: Vinyl wrapped special train coaches for upcoming Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj

New Delhi: Kumbh Mela is the largest religious gathering in the world, this congregation will begin next month in Prayagraj (earlier known as Allahabad) in Uttar Pradesh. Recognised as 'intangible cultural heritage' by the United Nations, the Mela is held once every 12 years on the banks of the 'Sangam' — the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati.

Check out these photos, tweeted by ANI, of special train coaches of the North East Railways for the 2019 Kumbh Mela. Fun fact: 800 special trains are being vinyl-wrapped with pictures and messages about the Mela — plus a logo made for the occasion.

Earlier this month, the official Logo and tagline for Allahabad Kumbh Mela 2019 were released in Lucknow.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, all official documents, government advertisements and hoardings would carry the logo to remind people about the event.
