In a significant push towards future-ready education, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, attended the 59th Annual Day celebrations of Mata Sundri College for Women, where he lauded the institution's efforts in integrating artificial intelligence into mainstream learning.
The event, held at the college campus, began with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding student achievements across academic and extracurricular domains. Following the ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor engaged in an interactive session with faculty members and students, appreciating their contributions and innovation.
Practical AI education into classrooms
A key highlight of the visit was the presentation of the "AI for Everyone" initiative, a collaborative program between the college and WeSkillYou.ai. The program aims to make artificial intelligence accessible to students from diverse academic backgrounds through practical, hands-on learning.
Students demonstrated real-time projects developed as part of the course, showcasing applications of AI in sectors such as healthcare, education, and sustainable development.

The Lieutenant Governor expressed particular interest in these projects, noting their potential for real-world impact.
Praising the initiative, Sandhu emphasized the importance of equipping young women with emerging technological skills. He encouraged students to leverage AI for social good and innovation, calling such programs "essential for building an inclusive and future-ready workforce."
The event was also attended by Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister in the Government of NCT Delhi; Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Chairman of the college; and Harpreet Kaur, Principal of the institution.
