Farah Khan has revealed that choreographing the grand sangeet ceremony at Sonam Kapoor's wedding was her special wedding gift to the actress.The filmmaker and choreographer made the revelation during a recent episode of her YouTube vlog featuring actor-dancer Shantanu Maheshwari and reality star Shruti Sinha.
The conversation turned nostalgic when Shruti recalled assisting Farah during Sonam Kapoor's wedding festivities in 2018. Sharing details from the celebrations, Farah said that instead of giving a conventional wedding present, she chose to choreograph the entire sangeet ceremony.
"At Sonam Kapoor's wedding, my wedding gift was that I would choreograph the sangeet," Farah said.
She also remembered working closely with her longtime assistant Firoz and Shruti Sinha during preparations for the high-profile event. According to Farah, several members of the Kapoor family and Bollywood celebrities took part in the rehearsals.
"There was Sonam, there was Arjun Kapoor, there was Masaba, there was Rhea Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez... everyone was being taught by Shruti," she recalled.
Shruti, meanwhile, shared a memorable moment from the rehearsals, saying Farah had praised her work in front of the team and encouraged others to follow her example.
Sonam Kapoor married businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018, in Mumbai. The wedding and its star-studded sangeet ceremony became one of Bollywood's most talked-about celebrations, with celebrities including Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor joining the festivities.
