People across Uttar Pradesh are checking LPG cylinder prices after fresh updates on commercial gas rates created worry in many cities.
While the 14.2 KG domestic cylinder price has mostly stayed stable, the 19 KG commercial gas cylinder has become much costlier in several districts. Because of rising global tension linked with Iran, Israel and fuel markets, many families and shop owners are now closely watching daily LPG updates.
Why Everyone Is Talking About LPG Prices
Gas cylinder prices became a hot topic again after reports of higher commercial LPG rates started coming from different parts of Uttar Pradesh. Many hotel owners, tea stalls and restaurants are expected to feel pressure because commercial cylinder prices have crossed the Rs 3,000 mark in some cities.
Still, the government has clearly said there is no shortage of LPG supply in India right now. Officials also requested people not to believe rumours spreading online. Even then, many consumers are trying to book cylinders early because they fear another hike may happen if international tensions continue.
What Is The New LPG Price In UP?
According to the latest update released on May 19, 2026, domestic LPG cylinder prices in Uttar Pradesh are mostly between Rs 900 and Rs 950. The rates are different from city to city because of transportation and local taxes.
In Lucknow, the domestic 14.2 KG LPG cylinder is priced around Rs 950.50, while the 19 KG commercial cylinder touched nearly Rs 3,194.50. In Prayagraj, domestic LPG reached around Rs 965.50 and commercial cylinder prices crossed Rs 3,224.
Agra consumers are paying close to Rs 925.50 for household LPG cylinders. In Ghaziabad, the domestic cylinder is available near Rs 910.50, while commercial users are paying more than Rs 3,260.
Many small business owners are now worried. Some restaurant operators say running costs are increasing every month and profit margins are getting tighter.
Will Gas Cylinder Supply Get Affected?
The government has said people should stay calm because LPG supply is still active across the country. Officials explained that cylinders will continue reaching homes like before. However, delivery in some places may take slightly longer because of increased booking demand.
Oil companies like Indane, Bharat Gas and HP Gas are also asking users to check official websites for fresh rates before booking. Prices can change anytime depending on global fuel markets and import costs.
Why Commercial Users Are More Worried
Commercial LPG users are facing the biggest trouble right now. Restaurants, sweet shops and roadside food vendors depend heavily on 19 KG cylinders. Once prices rise above Rs 3,000, daily business expenses go up very fast.
Some traders in UP markets said they may increase food prices if gas rates continue climbing in coming weeks. Families are also worried because many feel domestic LPG prices could rise later if crude oil becomes costlier globally.
