BTS leader RM gets candid about his first-ever drinking session with Jungkook, emotional reunions, and the group's highly anticipated comeback.
BTS' RM, now officially discharged from his military duties, recently hosted a heartfelt solo live session, leaving ARMYs around the world teary-eyed and nostalgic. During the session, the rapper and group leader opened up about his emotional reunion with fellow BTS members Jimin and Jungkook and revealed a surprising first: he and Jungkook shared a drink together for the very first time.
"Since Jimin-ie and Jungkook-ie are coming back tomorrow… During their military leave, I actually met up with them separately for a drink and to chat," RM shared with fans. "With Jimin-ie, we met up at his house once, and with Jungkook-ie, I took him to a place I like, and for the first time ever, the two of us had drinks together."
RM confessed that drinking wasn't something he used to enjoy. "I used to never drink at all maybe just a beer? But I only started drinking after Jin-hyung enlisted in 2023, for various reasons," he explained, adding with a smile, "So back when Jungkook-ie would occasionally drink, I wouldn't join him."
Reflecting on the years they've spent together, RM got nostalgic: "We first met when we were 15 and 18, and now we're 29 and 32, sitting together for a drink outside. It felt really nice, the vibe was great."
He also took a moment to express deep admiration for his fellow members. "Honestly, they're both amazing, and I feel like I have so much to learn from them. I owe them so much."
Perhaps the most emotional moment of the session came when RM addressed fans directly. "Damnnn miss you, ARMYs. I was in the army, but I couldn't see you in the army, you know what I mean? I was in the army, but there was no ARMY."
To the delight of fans worldwide, RM ended his live with an exciting tease: "Stay tuned and be there for our next ALBUM. It's gonna be HUGE."
With Jimin, Jungkook, and SUGA expected to return soon, and Jin already back, the countdown to BTS' long-awaited comeback has officially begun. ARMYs, get ready something monumental is on the horizon.
