Shillong: A fire broke out at a popular eatery in Shillong's Motphran area on Thursday afternoon, though no injuries were reported, officials said.
Eyewitnesses said the blaze reportedly started from a stove where snacks were being prepared. The fire quickly intensified after diesel stored at the premises caught fire.
The shop owner said they had been using charcoal and diesel for cooking due to disruptions in the supply of LPG cylinders.
