Members of the District Council (MDCs) from the TIPRA Motha Party on Monday reached a consensus on key leadership positions for the upcoming term of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) during a meeting held in Agartala, sources said.
As per sources, Bhabha Ranjan Reang has been unanimously selected as Chairman, while Runeil Debbarma has been selected as the Chief Executive Member (CEM). CK Jamatia has been picked as an Executive Member.
The decision was taken at a meeting of newly elected MDCs held at Rajbari in Ujjayanta Palace, which was chaired virtually by Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma.
Senior party figures, including Brishaketu Debbarma, along with MLAs S. Ranjit Debbarma and Biswajit Debbarma, were present at the meeting.
They extended their best wishes to the incoming Chairman and CEM, expressing confidence that the new leadership would continue the developmental and welfare initiatives undertaken during the previous council term.

The formal election for the posts of Chairman and CEM is set to take place on May 5 at the TTAADC Council Bhavan in Khumulwng. This will be followed by the oath-taking ceremony on May 6, 2026, at Nuai Auditorium Hall in the same location.
The Tipra Motha Party secured a decisive victory in the TTAADC elections, winning 24 of the 28 seats. This marked the party's second consecutive win since its formation in 2019, reinforcing its strong support base among Tripura's tribal communities and its continued push for the demand of 'Greater Tipraland'.
