Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Associate Project Engineer, Assistant Project Engineer, and Senior Project Technician for a project related to defense application with satellite data at the Manekshaw Centre of Excellence for National Security Studies and Research in 2026.
Name of post : Associate Project Engineer

Qualification :
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably in Electronics & Communication
Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, or related disciplines).
2. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
3. Strong foundation in probability, linear algebra, optimization techniques, and programming (Python), along with a sound understanding of machine learning methods and their application to analytical and modeling problems.
Salary : Rs. 60,050/- per month
Name of post : Assistant Project Engineer

Qualification :
1. Bachelor's in Engineering (preferably in Electronics & Communication Engineering,
Computer Science & Engineering, or equivalent disciplines).
2. Strong foundation in mathematics, and programming (Python), along with an understanding of machine learning methods and their applications.
3. Experience in full stack application development (web and mobile), including backend APIs and frontend frameworks.
4. Hands-on experience in model deployment (e.g., REST APIs, containerization) and
integration with GIS platforms and smartphone-based applications/sensors.
Salary : Rs. 51,650/- per month
Name of post : Senior Project Technician

Qualification :
1. B.Sc. OR Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in
system hardware and infrastructure management.
2. Experience in setup, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware, data and compute servers, and storage infrastructure.
3. Familiarity with data management practices, backup systems, and basic data security protocols. Working knowledge of Linux based systems and networking will be an advantage
