Guwahati: Raijor Dal has unveiled its final list of candidates for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, covering several key constituencies.

Pradip Kumar Baruah will contest from Kaliabor, while party chief Akhil Gogoi will run from Sivasagar.

Other nominees include Abul Mia for Gauripur, Abdur Basid Mondal for East Goalpara, Anjan Talukdar for Manas, Azizur Rahman for Dalgaon, Mehboob Muktar for Dhing, Alok Nath for Tezpur, Dulal Chandra Baruah for Sissiborgaon, Rahul Chettri for Margherita, Dulal Moran for Digboi, and Gyanashree Bora for Moriani.

The nominee for Bokakhat is expected to be announced on March 22.

According to party insiders, after coordination with the Indian National Congress, Raijor Dal has been given 13 constituencies as part of the alliance arrangement.

Akhil Gogoi said the list has been finalised, and any earlier candidates not on it are no longer in the running.

He added that the changes were necessary to keep opposition parties united against the BJP and its allies.
