Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday evening chaired a meeting of the State Cabinet at the Cabinet Hall of the Secretariat to deliberate on key administrative and governance matters.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said the Cabinet had adopted "several resolutions" aimed at improving administrative efficiency and advancing "simpler, responsive and people-centric governance."

"These decisions reaffirm our collective commitment to advancing Manipur's progress in line with the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for inclusive and human-centric development," he wrote.

The Cabinet meeting coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's engagement in New Delhi, where India is hosting the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam.

In a thread on X, the Prime Minister welcomed participants to the summit, describing it as an effort at "bringing the world together to discuss AI." He said the theme, 'Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya' (welfare for all, happiness for all), reflected a shared commitment to harnessing artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.

The Prime Minister noted that AI was transforming sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and enterprise, and expressed confidence that the summit's outcomes would help shape a "progressive, innovative and opportunity-driven" future.

"Thanks to the 1.4 billion people of India, our nation stands at the forefront of the AI transformation," he said, citing advances in digital public infrastructure, the startup ecosystem and research.
