Nagaland: 2 NSCN cadres held with arms in Dimapur

The Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with police, apprehended an NSCN-IM and an NSCN-KN cadre with arms and ammunition and banned drugs from two different locations in Dimapur, Nagaland on Friday.

Based on specific input, the security forces launched an operation in Purana Bazar area in Dimapur and apprehended an NSCN-IM cadre.

One .22 pistol, three rounds of .22 ammunition, 2,300 Spasma Proxivon capsules worth around Rs 43,200 and Rs 1,56,500 in cash were recovered from him.

He was handed over to the Dimapur East Police Station along with the recovered items.

In another incident, troopers of Assam Rifles and police, based on special input, jointly launched an operation and apprehended an NSCN-KN cadre from Model village, Tisephema.

One .22 rifle, .22 pistol, one air rifle, one single bore rifle, 40 .22mm live rounds, 299 air rifle pellets, 199 Spasma Proxivon capsules worth around Rs 15,920, one packet of drug orange powder (Sunflower) and Rs 1, 43,500 in cash were recovered from the NSCN-KN cadre.

The apprehended cadre, along with the recovered items, was handed over to Medzephema Police Station.
