New Delhi: Pilgrimage meets comfort on rails this summer, as IRCTC launches the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train for the exclusive "07 Jyotirlinga Yatra" circuit, an immersive 12-day journey blending heritage, devotion, and discovery.

Starting May 2026 from Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station, the train will take pilgrims across some of India's most revered shrines: Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain), Omkareshwar, Nageshwar (Dwarka), Bet Dwarka, Dwarkadhish Temple, Somnath (Veraval), Trimbakeshwar (Nashik), Bhimashankar (Pune), and Grishneshwar (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar).

The fully air-conditioned train offers AC II, AC III, and Sleeper class, accommodating up to 750 passengers. Enhanced safety features include CCTV surveillance and security guards in each coach.

Priced at Rs 48,500 for 2AC, Rs 36,560 for 3AC, and Rs 23,505 for Sleeper, the package covers train travel, hotel stays, vegetarian meals, transfers, sightseeing, accidental insurance, and the services of an IRCTC tour manager.

Officials say the initiative aims to promote heritage and pilgrimage tourism while offering devotees a seamless travel experience. With bookings open on a first-come, first-serve basis via the IRCTC website, the journey promises not just darshan of the seven Jyotirlingas but also a cultural odyssey through India's spiritual heartland.
