Bhadrak: A dramatic rescue unfolded on the Jan Shatabdi Express on Tuesday, as Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Child Helpline officials traced and freed 13 minor children following a tip-off about their suspicious movement.

The alert, raised by Bhadrak Child Helpline, triggered an immediate search across multiple coaches. Though the train had already departed Bhadrak station, officials pursued it en route, extending the operation up to Jajpur. Each compartment was meticulously checked until all 13 children were located and safely removed from different sections of the train.

The minors, reportedly from Bihar and belonging to minority communities, were brought back to Bhadrak for protection and inquiry. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances of their travel, identify those responsible, and probe possible trafficking links.

The swift coordination between railway security and child welfare agencies ensured the children were rescued before they could be moved further.
