Bhubaneswar: The Adani Group pledged three mega projects worth Rs 33,081 crore, spanning digital infrastructure, energy security, and manufacturing in Odisha on Wednesday.

The announcement came during the groundbreaking of 36 industrial projects in Khordha, with Adani Ports MD Karan Adani outlining the Group's long-term commitment to Odisha's ambitious goal of becoming a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047.

Together, the projects promise 9,700 jobs and a significant boost to the state's growth trajectory.

The first initiative is a Rs 800-crore data center at Info Valley, Bhubaneswar, designed to power AI, cloud computing, and digital governance. "This is not just a building full of servers," Adani said. "It is Odisha's claim on the digital economy."

The second project, a Rs 27,281 crore thermal power plant near Cuttack, aims to stabilize the regional grid and generate 7,000 jobs, ensuring reliable electricity for households and businesses.

The third, a Rs 2,100 crore cement plant near Cuttack, will employ 2,500 people and supply materials for hospitals, schools, and roads linking modern industry with Odisha's legacy of Kalingan builders.

Adani praised Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's vision, noting that Odisha's mineral wealth, coastline, and young workforce provide the foundation for growth. "The roadmap to 2036 and 2047 is ambitious, but credible," he said, emphasizing that governance reforms and resources already in place make the targets achievable.

With this investment, Odisha positions itself as a hub for digital innovation, energy resilience, and industrial self-reliance.
