Bhubaneswar: A routine morning ride turned tragic when Additional DCP Krushna Chandra Sethi was injured after being hit by an Ama Bus near Bhubaneswar Club on Friday.
Police said Sethi was cycling when the bus allegedly rammed into him from behind, leaving the senior officer injured on the spot. Passersby rushed to help as Capital Police personnel quickly arrived, rescuing him and shifting him to Capital Hospital for treatment.
The incident has sparked concern, as Sethi is known for his regular cycling sessions in the city. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the bus struck the officer in a busy area under Capital police limits.
Officials confirmed his condition is stable, and further inquiries are underway.
