Balasore: After serving a 14-year prison term in Odisha, Bangladeshi national Mohammad Babu Khan is set to be deported back to his country on Wednesday, marking the end of a long legal process.

Khan, who allegedly entered India illegally, became involved in multiple criminal activities in Balasore district before being convicted. Police records show he faced nine criminal cases registered across Balasore Town, Basta, Sadar, Industrial Area, and Remuna police stations.

Following his conviction, Khan was lodged in Balasore District Jail, where he completed his sentence. With his term now over, authorities have initiated deportation proceedings in line with legal protocols.

Officials confirmed that all necessary formalities have been completed to facilitate his repatriation, and he will be handed over to Bangladeshi authorities.
