Odisha Bhaskar 1 week ago

Patna: Bihar's Jehanabad district was shaken on Wednesday after a shocking act of violence in Imadpur village. A man allegedly beheaded his sister-in-law over a delay in serving food, leaving the community horrified.

Police said the accused, Kunal Kumar, a known drug addict, attacked 25-year-old Anshu Devi, wife of Dharmendra Kumar, with an axe when she failed to serve him promptly. Alone at home while her family worked in the fields, Anshu was brutally killed. In a chilling aftermath, the accused hung her severed head on a tree outside the house.

Villagers rushed to the scene, alerted police, and watched as Kumar remained seated near the house without fleeing. Officers seized the weapon and arrested him soon after.

The crime has sparked outrage in the locality, with residents demanding strict punishment. Police authorities confirmed Kumar is in custody and further investigation is underway.
