Bhubaneswar: The countdown has begun for one of Odisha's biggest academic moments. The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will declare the +2 examination results for 2026 on May 20, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced on Monday.
"The results of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams will be published simultaneously between 12.30 pm and 1 pm," Gond told reporters, adding that all arrangements have been made to ensure smooth access via official portals, including orissaresults.nic.in.
This year, around 4.01 lakh students registered for the exams held between February 18 and March 26 across more than 1,300 centres. The stream-wise tally includes 2.56 lakh in Arts, 1.15 lakh in Science, 24,600 in Commerce, and nearly 6,000 in Vocational courses.
On bilingual certificates (Odia and English), Gond said discussions with CHSE officials are pending before a final decision.
With lakhs of students and families waiting anxiously, May 20 promises to be a day of high drama in Odisha's education calendar.
