Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to take up a three-day investment drive across Gujarat from May 5 to 7, aiming to position the state as a rising industrial hub.
The visit follows successful roadshows in Hyderabad and Kolkata, and marks the next phase of Odisha's aggressive push to attract capital.
The tour will span four cities, beginning with a high-profile investor roadshow in Ahmedabad on May 5. Roundtable discussions and one-to-one meetings with leading industrialists are expected to yield fresh MoUs and investment commitments. The state will spotlight sectors with strong growth potential- textiles, chemicals, metals, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment- seeking to channel western India's capital into Odisha's expanding industrial ecosystem.
On May 6, the delegation will visit Mundra Port to explore logistics and port-based opportunities, reinforcing Odisha's port-led development strategy. The final day will feature an investors' meet in Vadodara, followed by a visit to Kevadia to deepen industrial linkages.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and senior officials will accompany Majhi. Ahead of departure, the Chief Minister said Odisha's infrastructure and skilled workforce make it a compelling investment destination, expressing confidence that the Gujarat tour will unlock new avenues for growth and jobs, propelling the state toward its 2036 prosperity vision.
