Ujjain: The controversy around blockbuster Dhurandhar has taken a sharp turn in Madhya Pradesh, where a citizen has lodged a police complaint against the film for its alleged use of abusive and derogatory language.

Manoj Purohit, a resident of Shajapur in Ujjain district, the home turf of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, filed the complaint at Kotwali police station late Friday. Speaking to reporters, Purohit said, "It is ironic that police book people for using abusive language in public, but no action is taken against actors and filmmakers who use it freely on screen."

Calling the film "shameful" and unfit for family viewing, he demanded a case under BNS Section 296 against director Aditya Dhar, the actors, and others involved. He also accused the censor board of negligence, alleging officials either ignored the content or cleared it for money.

Kotwali police confirmed receiving the complaint. "We are investigating the matter, and further action will be taken based on the outcome," said station in-charge Santosh Waghela.
