Ahmedabad: A 41-year-old physically disabled man was allegedly murdered over a demand for just Rs 10 at Bhadarwa village in Gujarat's Narmada district.
The victim, Rajeshbhai Dhanjibhai Tadvi, who suffered partial paralysis, was returning home with groceries on Friday morning when he was intercepted by Dharmendrabhai alias Dhamo Ganpatbhai Tadvi, 33. According to the FIR, Dharmendra demanded Rs 10 for personal expenses. When Rajeshbhai refused, the confrontation turned deadly.
Eyewitnesses reported that Dharmendra pinned Rajeshbhai to the ground near the village entrance, kicked him in the chest and neck, and then pressed his foot against the victim's throat, strangling him. Rajeshbhai died on the spot, with visible injuries on his shoulders and neck.
The village sarpanch alerted police, who arrived to find the body covered in a shroud. A murder case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The complainant, Bharatbhai Tadvi, expressed shock, saying his cousin was targeted despite his vulnerable condition.
