Thiruvananthapuram: An Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai was forced to turn back midway on Monday after Dubai International Airport temporarily suspended operations following a drone-related incident.

<p style="margin-top: 0px;" > The aircraft landed safely back at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.</p><p>Authorities said a drone struck a fuel tank near the airport, sparking a fire that was quickly contained by Dubai Civil Defence teams.
