New Delhi: A bomb threat at Vishal Bharti Public School in outer Delhi led to panic on Thursday after the principal received a warning e-mail.
Police rushed teams to the Paschim Vihar school, evacuated the building, and searched the campus with bomb disposal experts, dog squads, and firefighters.
After an intense search, no bomb was found. Officials declared the threat a hoax but began a cyber investigation. The police traced the threat e-mail to a juvenile student studying in the same school.
During questioning, the student admitted that he sent the fake bomb threat because he was scared of exams and hoped the message would force the school to declare a holiday. The police have registered a case in the incident.
