Jagatsinghpur: A disturbing breach of privacy has rattled Jagatsinghpur after a secret camera was allegedly discovered inside the women's washroom of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) office.
The shocking find has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns over workplace safety for women employees.
The incident came to light on May 25 when a female staff member noticed the hidden device after it reportedly fell to the floor. Alarmed, she immediately alerted the Additional Executive Officer. A formal complaint was lodged the next day by officer Girija Shankar Mallik at Tirtol Police Station.
Police reached the DRDA office, seized the camera, and launched an investigation. The device is now being examined to determine who installed it and for what purpose.
Zilla Parishad President Manoj Bhoi condemned the act, demanding strict action against those responsible and calling for a thorough probe.
