Horror unfolded at the Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday when a deadly attack left one Indian national dead and at least 63 others injured, according to reports quoting officials.
The country's health ministry reported that victims suffered severe wounds, including head injuries, cerebral haemorrhages, amputations, and blast-related trauma. Twenty-five ambulances were rushed to the scene to ferry the injured to hospitals across Kuwait City.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait confirmed the death of the Indian national and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. In a post on X, the mission said it is "closely coordinating" with Kuwaiti authorities to provide all possible support and assistance to those affected.
The attack has shaken the Gulf nation, raising concerns about airport security and passenger safety. For India, the tragedy underscores the vulnerability of its diaspora in volatile situations in the Middle East.
