Cuttack: A daring broad-daylight kidnapping ended in a swift police triumph on Monday as a college student, snatched from Kendrapara, was rescued following a high-speed pursuit into Cuttack.
The ordeal began near Jamunabad Gada under Patakura police station limits in Kendrapara district. The victim was returning home from her coaching classes when three men in a car intercepted her. In a violent turn of events, the assailants allegedly assaulted the student before forcing her into the vehicle and speeding away.After receiving information, police swung into immediate action, leveraging technology to beat the clock. By analyzing real-time CCTV footage, investigators successfully mapped the getaway car's flight path. The chase culminated at Kandarpur in Cuttack, where cops intercepted the vehicle and safely rescued the girl.
Police detained two suspects, including the car’s driver. Two other individuals allegedly involved in the crime managed to flee the scene.
The motive behind this abduction is currently unknown; an investigation is underway.
