Mumbai: Veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, widely popular for his memorable role as Karna in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat,' passed away on October 15, 2025. His colleague, Amit Behl, confirmed the sad news.
Sources indicate Dheer had been battling cancer, which reportedly relapsed a few months ago, leading to major surgery and a period of severe illness.
The Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) released an official statement expressing deep sorrow over the passing of their former Honorary General Secretary and Trust Chairman.
The statement confirmed the actor's death and announced that the cremation would be held on Wednesday, at 4.30 pm in Mumbai.
Pankaj Dheer's portrayal of the valiant Karna remains one of the most iconic roles in Indian television history. He will be deeply missed by the industry and fans.
