Miracle in Moradabad: Mother Delivers 4 Babies Over 5 Days

Miracle in Moradabad: Mother Delivers 4 Babies Over 5 Days

Lucknow: UP's Moradabad witnessed a medical marvel this week when a woman gave birth to four babies, two boys and two girls, over the span of five days, all through normal delivery at a private hospital.

Doctors at Teerthanker Mahaveer University Hospital called it a rare and extraordinary case.

Amina, a resident of Ovari village in Sambhal district, delivered her first child on May 9. Defying medical odds, she went on to deliver three more babies on May 14. Despite the pregnancy being classified as "high-risk," doctors managed all four deliveries without a Caesarean section.

Dr Shubhra Agrawal, who led the team, said it was the hospital's first case of quadruplets born naturally. "A specialised team monitored Amina from her third month after ultrasound confirmed four fetuses," she explained. Though doctors initially advised reducing the number of fetuses, the family chose to continue, and the medical team prepared for the challenge.

All four newborns are on ventilator support as a precaution, but their condition is stable. Amina too is recovering well. Her husband, Mohammad Alim, expressed gratitude to the doctors for their months of careful handling.
