Bhubaneswar: Odia actor and former MP Anubhav Mohanty has made his relationship official with journalist Jagrati Shukla as the couple got engaged in a private ceremony.
While rumours of their relationship had been circulating for a while, this marks the first time they have publicly acknowledged it.
The engagement took place in an intimate ceremony, reportedly outside Odisha, with only close family and friends in attendance. Jagrati later shared pictures from the event on social media, where she referred to Anubhav as her "best friend."
Expressing her joy, she wrote, "I said yes to my best friend @anubhavmohantyofficial. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the blessings from our families and the constant support of our friends. This bond of friendship has blossomed into something beautiful and I can't wait to write our love story together."
In the photos, Jagrati was seen in a pastel pink saree adorned with white jewellery, while Anubhav opted for a traditional maroon outfit. A close-up image also revealed Jagrati's engagement ring. Fans and well-wishers flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
Reports suggest that Anubhav and Jagrati are set to tie the knot on March 11, though the couple has not yet confirmed the date or shared details of their wedding plans.
Anubhav was previously married to actor Varsha Priyadarshini. The two got married in 2014 and officially parted ways in 2023. Speculations about Anubhav and Jagrati's relationship began while he was still married to Varsha, with reports claiming Jagrati played a role in their divorce.
Professionally, Jagrati recently collaborated with Anubhav as the co-author of his biography, which was released recently.
