Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Tuesday declared results of the OCS-2024 examination, recommending 200 candidates for appointment to Group-A and Group-B posts in the state administration.
Of these, 78 are women.
Bubun Sahu topped the merit list, with Sobhana Mohanty and Jitmitra Sahu finishing second and third respectively. Kanak Jain and Sangram Pradhan secured the fourth and fifth ranks, while Aman Goyal, Shantanu Kumar Satpathy, Nitesh Kumar Barik, Sheetal Patra and Itishree Jena rounded off the top ten.
Of the finally selected candidates, 70 belong to the unreserved category, 35 to SEBC, 45 to SC and 50 to ST categories. The list also includes 4 ex-servicemen and 3 persons with disabilities.

The recruitment process, from notification to result declaration, was completed in 17 months, faster than the earlier 19-22 month cycle. OPSC noted that the accelerated timeline would help align the OCS exam calendar with UPSC’s schedule, easing the burden on candidates preparing for both simultaneously.
The recruitment had drawn 85,223 applicants. The process involved a preliminary exam on October 12, 2025, mains between January 31 and February 10, 2026 and interviews at Cuttack from May 14-20, 2026.
