Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha to take part in celebrations marking the completion of two years of the BJP government in the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Thursday.
Addressing a BJP programme in Bhubaneswar, CM Majhi said the Prime Minister's Office has granted approval for the visit after he formally invited PM Modi to attend the anniversary celebrations. "The Prime Minister has accepted our invitation," Majhi said.
The Chief Minister said PM Modi's visit would boost the morale of party workers and reflect the Centre's support for the Odisha government's developmental initiatives and governance achievements over the past two years.
Preparations for the Prime Minister's visit have already begun across the state, with party leaders and government officials coordinating arrangements for security, crowd management and logistics.
Though the exact dates and itinerary are yet to be finalised, the event is expected to witness large public participation and draw significant political attention in Odisha.
The visit is also likely to serve as a platform for showcasing the BJP government's achievements in the state and outlining its roadmap for future development. PM Modi is expected to interact with local leaders, party workers and members of the public during the programme.
