Sundargarh: A shocking case of deceit and exploitation has surfaced in Odisha's Sundargarh district, where a postman was arrested after a woman accused him of sexual exploitation, intimidation, and fraud.
The accused, identified as Ramakanta Nayak, allegedly befriended the woman at a Rourkela post office before luring her into a relationship with promises of marriage.
According to the complaint, he coerced her into a physical relationship at gunpoint and later moved with her to a rented house in Koida block.
To convince her of his marital status, Nayak reportedly produced a forged divorce certificate claiming he had separated from his first wife. When the woman discovered the truth, he fled with the firearm of the postman about a week ago.
Following her written complaint at Tensa Police Outpost, police arrested Nayak and seized the weapon. Investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud.
