The United States has announced a reward of up to $10 million (Rs 92.47 crore) for information on Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and several senior officials linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The offer was made public on Friday through the State Department's Rewards for Justice programme, run by the Diplomatic Security Service.
"These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran's IRGC, which plans, organises, and executes terrorism around the world," the programme stated. It urged people with information to use secure channels such as Tor or Signal, adding that eligible informants could receive relocation assistance along with the reward.
Among those named are Mojtaba Khamenei, Ali Asghar Hejazi, deputy chief of staff in the Supreme Leader's office, and Iran's security chief Ali Larijani. Some entries were published as silhouettes due to the absence of photographs.
The announcement comes as US and Israeli forces intensify airstrikes against Iran, now in their third week. President Donald Trump said American forces would hit Iranian targets "very hard" in the coming days.
