New Delhi: India bid farewell to one of its most seasoned political voices on Wednesday as veteran Congress leader and former Union minister Mohsina Kidwai passed away at the age of 94.

She breathed her last at Noida's Metro Hospital early in the morning after battling age-related ailments, her family confirmed.

Kidwai's political journey spanned decades. A trusted member of the Rajiv Gandhi government, she held key Union portfolios and served in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Within the Congress, she was part of the Working Committee and the Central Election Committee, shaping party decisions at crucial junctures.

Her funeral will take place at the Nizamuddin graveyard in Delhi around 5 pm today, family members said. Tributes are pouring in from across the political spectrum, remembering Kidwai as a trailblazer who left an indelible mark on Indian politics.
