Bhadrak: A social media stunt turned tragic in Bhadrak, after a youth went missing while filming a reel on Thursday. The incident occurred at the Santia Bridge over the Salandi River under Old Station Bazaar police limits.
According to reports, two young men leapt into the river while another recorded the act on his phone. While one managed to swim ashore, the other was swept away and has not been found. Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the missing youth.
Police said the men had come to Bhadrak as construction workers and skipped work that day to shoot videos. What began as a casual attempt at online fame has now sparked concern over the growing risks of dangerous social media stunts.
