Global pop icon Shakira's highly anticipated return to India has been put on hold. Organizers announced that the concerts, originally scheduled for April in Mumbai and Delhi, have been postponed indefinitely.
The decision stems from the escalating geopolitical instability in West Asia, with officials citing the safety of the artist, crew, and fans as the primary reason for the delay.

The tour was set to feature two major shows: April 10 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai and April 15 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. According to a statement from District Updates, all ticket holders are being issued automatic full refunds to their original payment methods. While the organizers expressed regret over the postponement, they emphasized that they are working closely with Shakira's team to find new dates once the regional situation stabilizes.
The postponement is directly linked to the massive regional conflict that erupted in late February 2026. Following joint military strikes by the US and Israel that resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the region has seen a cycle of heavy retaliation. Iran's subsequent targeting of assets across several Gulf countries and the virtual closure of the Strait of Hormuz have caused significant disruptions to international travel and global economic stability.
Under the leadership of the newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, the regional tensions show no immediate signs of cooling. This heightened state of alert has made the logistics of large-scale international tours in proximity to the region increasingly difficult, leading to the “Feeding India Concert” being the latest high-profile event to be deferred.
