An unusual incident took place in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. A monkey stayed inside a house with a 3-month-old baby for nearly two hours.
Those two hours created a panic situation for family members and neighbours.
It was a regular day in a home in Muzaffarnagar. The family was busy with daily chores. A 3-month-old baby was sleeping peacefully on the bed in one of the rooms.
While everyone was busy with their routine, a monkey quietly entered the house through the roof. The monkey walked into the room and sat near the baby. But surprisingly, it did not attack the baby. It sat next to the baby and gently touched the baby as if it was caring for the baby.
When the baby’s mother heard a sound, she rushed to the room and saw a monkey sitting right next to her baby. For a second, she froze. She screamed. Immediately, neighbours gathered outside the house. They tried to help. People tried to scare the monkey with sticks. Some even offered food so it can get away from the baby.
While all this was happening, the monkey did not do anything to the baby. It did not allow anyone to come in.
For nearly 2 hours, the situation stayed the same.

The Rescue
Soon, animal rescuer Sunny Chopra and his team arrived. They understood that force would not help in this case. In fact it can make things worse. They had to stay calm to ensure baby’s safety.
They tried a few methods, but didn’t work. Then they tried something unusual.
They played wildlife videos on a mobile phone. The monkey got distracted.
For a few seconds, its attention shifted to the screen. And in that moment, the rescuer slowly got in and picked up the baby.
The child was finally safe.
The Fact Took a Different Turn
Later, it was reported that the monkey had lost its own baby just a few days ago. And suddenly, the situation felt different.
Maybe it wasn’t trying to harm the child, but was confused. Maybe it was assuming the baby to be its own.
Sometimes, what looks like danger… may also carry a story we don’t fully understand.
