Goa, Oct 8: Veteran actor and filmmaker Nana Patekar has reportedly died at the age of 75 after suffering a severe cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa.
According to hospital sources, Patekar was brought to the hospital following the cardiac emergency and was declared dead at 5:20 am.
Doctors reportedly made efforts to revive the veteran actor for nearly 45 minutes, but he did not respond to treatment.
Patekar, known for his powerful performances and distinctive screen presence, had a long and acclaimed career in Indian cinema. He worked across Hindi and Marathi films and also established himself as a filmmaker and theatre personality.
His reported death is expected to trigger an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, fans and admirers across the film industry.
