The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hit back at party MP Raghav Chadha on Friday, accusing him of avoiding crucial issues in Parliament and indulging in "soft PR" instead of standing up for the party line.

Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bharadwaj openly criticised Chadha, saying he failed to participate in opposition walkouts on key matters and did not raise issues concerning Punjab, the state from which he was elected. Speaking in a video posted on X, Bharadwaj said, "We are all soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal. The Centre doesn't care about soft PR or talking about samosas at airport canteens when bigger issues are at stake."

Bharadwaj further accused Chadha of avoiding action during critical moments, including hiding abroad when former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested, and failing to engage with opposition strategies in Parliament.

AAP national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda also criticised Chadha, questioning whether someone who "fears" Prime Minister Narendra Modi can effectively fight for the country. Dhanda highlighted Chadha's reluctance to speak on pressing national matters, including alleged voter rights violations in West Bengal and proposals against the Chief Election Commissioner in Parliament.

"In Parliament, we get limited time to speak, and it can be used either to fight for the nation or discuss trivial matters like cheaper samosas at airport canteens," Dhanda said, adding that Chadha has avoided addressing real issues for several years.

The remarks from Bharadwaj and Dhanda came after Chadha stated he was "silenced, not defeated," following his removal as AAP's deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha.
