A new educational initiative aimed at connecting learning with employment will soon begin in Guwahati as the Advanced Learning Academy prepares for its official inauguration on March 16, 2026.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at 3 pm at the ADLAC Centre on MC Road in Chenkuthi, near St. Mary's Higher Secondary School in Guwahati.
The academy aims to provide learning opportunities that focus on practical skills and career development for students and young professionals.
The event will be attended by several prominent personalities from different fields. The chief guest for the occasion will be Rana Pratap Kalita, a retired Lieutenant General of the Indian Army. Known for his distinguished service, Kalita will formally inaugurate the academy.
Several other eminent guests will also attend the programme as guests of honour. These include Samudragupta Kashyap, Chancellor of Nagaland University, along with Chandrajit Saikia and Trikal Rabha, both retired Principal Chief Personnel Officers of Northeast Frontier Railway.
Other invited guests include Samir Baruah, former General Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Bhaskar Sharma, former Managing Director of SBI Life Insurance, and Reeta Baruah, a retired Senior Divisional Manager of National Insurance Company Limited.
The academy has been launched with the vision of creating a space where education meets employment, focusing on helping learners gain knowledge and skills that are useful in the professional world.
