Amit Shah to Visit Barak Valley for BJP Election Campaigns

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Assam once again to spearhead election campaigns in the Barak Valley, scheduled for April 6-7. During this two-day visit, Shah will actively campaign for key BJP candidates in Hailakandi, Silchar, and Udharbond.

This visit comes as part of the BJP’s intensified campaign efforts in the Barak Valley ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly elections 2026.

According to official sources, Amit Shah is expected to arrive at Silchar Airport from Delhi at 8 PM on April 6. He will spend the night in Silchar before commencing his campaign activities the following day.

On April 7, the Home Minister will begin his campaign in Hailakandi, supporting BJP candidate Milan Das. In the afternoon, he will shift to Silchar, where he will campaign for Rajdeep Roy, and later visit Udharbond to support candidate Rajdeep Gowala.

After completing his election engagements across these constituencies, Amit Shah will return to Delhi on the evening of April 7.
