Eleven people, including children, were admitted to the Civil Hospital in Sadiya on Monday, March 30, after consuming wild mushrooms, officials said.

The affected individuals are all residents of Rukmini Deuri village. They include both adults and minors, ranging in age from 2 to 60 years. Those admitted are Sumbari Deuri (60), Abhijit Deuri (45), Ujjwal Deuri (4), Niranjan Deuri (2), Mamoni Deuri (30), Kujay Deuri (56), Mitali Deuri (55), Radhika Deuri (12), Nani Deuri (35), Manjit Deuri (19), and Projesh Deuri (20).

Hospital authorities confirmed that all patients are currently receiving medical treatment and are under close observation. Thankfully, no deaths have been reported so far, and doctors continue to monitor their conditions carefully.

Local health officials have warned villagers to be cautious while consuming wild mushrooms, stressing that some varieties can be poisonous and pose serious health risks.
