A pall of grief has descended on Numaligarh after an Army jawan, Durlov Gogoi, lost his life while on active duty in Srinagar. The soldier reportedly died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack while performing his responsibilities.
Durlov Gogoi hailed from the Ponka Borchapori area under Numaligarh, and news of his sudden demise has left his family and local residents in deep shock.
The young soldier, who was serving in Srinagar, lost his life while on duty on Saturday after reportedly suffering a sudden heart attack. Despite immediate attention, he could not be saved.
Arrangements are being made to bring his mortal remains from Srinagar to his native village in Numaligarh. His body is expected to reach his home in the coming hours, where last rites will be performed with full military honours.
